The Christmas angel stands silently, warm and sweet
Between the cat who is curious and the gifts wrapped neat.
The window panes give hints of cold winter scenes,
Tracks in the snow, frozen round the pond and evergreens.
The family lies sleeping, but soon they’ll awake
To holiday joys and toys, feasting on treats and lots of cake.
Exhausted from all the running and rushing,
Their timeless traditions were faithfully preparing.
They’ve worked and done so much to share
With those for whom they dearly care.
Soon they’ll celebrate with happy smiles,
And enjoy the ones who have travelled the miles.
The angel brings a message, very old but must be told,
Anticipate the goodness that the day will unfold.
Spreading comfort and peace, she reassures
Reminding that the greatest Gift of all still endures.
Patiently guarding and glowing her radiant white,
The angel’s message brings blessings from Above.
Still shining bright is that perfect Light,
Still living today is that same pure Love.
Wishing you a very happy Holiday Season!
